Today was a pretty eventful day. First, it was first term exam day and lucky me has to deal with Math on the first day. And yes, I say that with sarcasm.
See, I'm not what you'd call "smart". Well, I am. But not in Bio and Math. They're my two Achilles' heel so to speak.
The Math exam was very... slow-paced for a lack of a better term. The first 3 or so pages were easy but when it came to the last part, that's when my dream of perfecting it turned to shizz. The question that had everyone in my class sweating was about protein, fats and rockets. ROCKETS.
So apparently, we have to freaking write a rocket equation using the quadratic formula instead of writing it regularly like any rational person would. Pun intended.
The other problematic thing was the linear programming one. So you have to get the constraints, which are "limits", to graph the equations. Say it says "You can lick a lollipop only 6 times." The constraint is: x is less than or equal to 6.
One of the constraints is "12x + 98y > 50" and when once I change it to slope-intercept form, "98y > -12x + 50". Lowest terms, it becomes (-4/49)x which you can't graph 'cause the teachers want absolute precision.
So good thing the next exam was way easier and I'm freaking tired of my hard work not paying off.
I pretty much buried the hatchet today with the person I couldn't stand because I was starting to think I was the bad guy.
'Til tomorrow,
just a pal.
